What We Do
- Improve safety with non-prosthetic transfers
- Prevent joint contractures (loss of joint movement)
- Better manage phantom limb pain
- Complete strength/flexibility exercises in preparation for a prosthesis
We love to train people to use and walk with a prosthetic leg. We do this by:
- Optimising gait (walking pattern)
- Improving walking efficiency with strength and condition training
- Working on balance to reduce the risk of falls
- Making sure appropriate walking aids are prescribed
We can enhance your ability to negotiate steps, ramps and walk over different terrain. Improve access and function around the use of the bathroom, the car and around the house.
We can help you return to doing the things you love. Whether that's walking the dog, gardening, participating in your favourite sport or finding a new activity to enjoy. We can also help you integrate back into your roles at work.
